Sponsors/Advertisers

The purpose of this Walk-a-Thon fundraiser is to raise funds for school field trips, new kindergarten playground equipment and to bring technology to each classroom.

All students and staff at Rivergold will be participating in the Walk-a-Thon which takes place on Friday, Nov 7th.  There will be approximately 800 t-shirts imprinted with our sponsors’ names or logos. The t-shirts will be given away, not sold.

We are excited to offer this enduring advertising opportunity to our local businesses. Our deadline for submission of name/logo is Tuesday, Oct 22nd.

Fledgling level:  $300

Egg level:  $200

For more information, or to submit your logo, you can contact Sheri Oswald at 760-5446 or by email at shoswald@gmail.com.

I wanted to personally say thank you to you Jennifer (and your family), Lisa (and your family), Trudi, Karl, John S., Evelyne, Sarah, Brandy, Bob, Rhonda, Jon C, Ginny and Sherri, Kathy and your grandson Colt, Rene, Denise, Amanda, Anita, and Jodi.

We just finished counting the money and so far we have grossed $18,000!! Our cost was just under $4,000, but we still have around 40 people who need to pay for their silent auction stuff. I budgeted a profit of $10,000 on the Hawkfest and we have made way over that – thanks guys!

You all contributed above and beyond to the Hawkfest, and because of all your hard work this was THE BEST HAWKFEST EVER!!  Thank you for giving of our most precious commodity – your time.

Our PTA meeting is coming up this Thursday, September 11th at 7:00 PM!  We will only be having THREE association meetings this year so don’t miss out.  Attending meetings is a great opportunity to be a part of deciding how the money we make fundraising should be spent on our children. It is also a place to meet new people and eat good food.  This meeting is a MEXICAN FOOD POTLUCK so bring your favorite dish.  Also come for a chance to win two tickets to Great America!  Bring your kids, childcare is provided.  Invite someone who isn’t a part of the PTA.  See you there!!!

I am so excited about this school year! I wanted to let you know some things that I will be doing as president this year. I have some areas I will be focusing my time and attention on: music, science, advancing classroom technology, recycling, and parent support. Your ideas and feelings are important to me, so I hope you will come and share you dreams for Rivergold and our children at our first meeting in the staff lounge this THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 11 AT 7:00 PM. –Liz Kuykendall
